Where were you arrested? A DUI is a state offense, but each jurisdiction handles them slightly differently.

Arizona man arrested on DUI suspicion

It isn't unheard of in Arizona for numerous drivers to be stopped on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol. Not only is this an inconvenience that can throw the rest of their day out, if any of the tests they undergo suggest that they may be intoxicated, there is a chance that they could face charges. Of course, this system is in place to protect road users from the potential harm that can be caused by drunk drivers. However, sometimes innocent people can come under suspicion as part of the process.

In Mohave County, a 23 year-old man is facing multiple charges after deputies arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving. Although he refused a breath test, officers obtained a blood sample which was then sent for analysis. The man is also said to have failed field sobriety tests. The charges facing him include drunk driving on a suspended license, two counts of aggravated DUI and one for a third offense within seven years.

Unfortunately for him, if he is convicted, he faces a mandatory prison sentence. This is a requirement for anyone who receives three DUI convictions within the space of seven years. On top of this, he may face fines and risk having the suspension of his license extended.

A DUI conviction is no laughing matter. It can dramatically affect your day-to-day living and even your future. An attorney may be able to help you if you have been charged with an offense of this nature. With the right guidance, you may be able to identify an issue with the investigation that could invalidate the charges against you.
