Like many other criminal courts, the Manistee Justice Court has policies and procedures in regard to criminal cases. Specifically, the Manistee Justice Court has five (5) critical stages of a criminal case. Among these five stages are:
In Manistee Justice Court, the arraignment serves a similar purpose to an initial appearance.
