BACtrack Mobile Breathalyzer

Nowadays, with technology being essential in daily life, there is an “app” for pretty much everything and anything you want. Recently BACtrack, a breathalyzer brand trusted by schools, hospitals, and law enforcement, released a new form of breathalyzer called the BACtrack Mobile Breathalyzer. This new product is a compact breathalyzer, which costsaround $150. It also has a mobile app anyone with a smart phone can download and use to track their blood alcohol content (BAC) whenever they’ve had an alcoholic beverage.

This new gadget is very intriguing, with its travel-friendly size, light weight and seemingly sophisticated BAC technology. It’s a device that the “average Joe” could use to keep track of their state-of-being throughout the evening. The app, which is a free download from the App Store, is designed to increase the accuracy of the BAC test.When using the device it has users indicate how long it has been since their last drink, and informs users as to how long to blow into the BAC breathalyzer, which are factors that improve the accuracy of the BAC test. Another interesting feature of the app is its ZeroLine technology, which takes the users final reading and estimates how longit will take to for user’s BAC to return to 0.00%.

The BACtrack Mobile Breathalyzer also has a BAC Tracking Graph. This graph allows users to keep track of the drinks they’ve had throughout the night, and their BAC percentage. Users can save the information in their history, which can show them how different kinds of drinks can affect their BAC level. Overall this device seems like a good tool, not justfor professional use, but for anyone that enjoys a night on the town!
